What's the difference between counting years by number of summers (лета) or by number of tree rings (год)? It doesn't seem to be connected to species or gender.

It's a little featute of russian language :> If you say 1 2 3 4 years - you use word "год", and if other numbers - "лет". It's really hard to explain :D
