Right now im working on four different info dumps (sogalun bio 2, architecture, religion, wildlife/domesticated 2) so a lot of em but first i wanted to talk a bit about the boogeyman of this world hehe =w=

I had an idea that the sogaluns probably would be afraid of something that they may warn about and may present a problem. I tried a lot of ideas (from titanic primates to stampeding ants, but i decided on this. It's a creature called a Dalteso, or in a more straightforward name, the Pedal Terror Snake.
All Dalteso live in the central areas (willow forests) to the swamps on the west side of the continent. Strangely brightly colored nocturnal hunters, they hide in the massive and thick bushes that appear in the area, particularly those with giant and bright flowers and lie in wait. If any prey comes near it will jump out and shine bright lights from it's pedal like structures on it's head, this tends to blind or stun any prey in a nighttime setting. It will then bite into the prey and drag it off to be devoured.
Of course this is a terrifying way to go, you're walking along then suddenly you're blinded and then you're dead, a bit of dissonance with the common feeling. so of course everyone i warned to stay away from any sort of bush in that region at night, as being alone and caught by one of these is a death sentence

kind of morbid but i wanted to get this one out of the way, right now it is a concept, i might make them darker if i feel that pretending to be a giant flower among giant flowers doesn't work out
