batty has been in Nysce's care for a few months now, one may infer. and in this, she has come to isolate parts of her mind into diffrent areas. now, batty is a but...batty, so she seems to have 4 contradictory desires. her newly developed mentally regressed self, Needy, her mature, semi sane self, who still wants to escape, her basic needs like hunger, and her hesitant resignation at her situation, hesitant to want to like what her mind is becoming, a simpler, derpier, more baby batty 833

You say it isn't cannon but earlier pages suggest it is,at least partially, I refer to the first few pages where she seemed to show symptoms of multiple personality disorder,or Dissociative identity disorder as it's called now but I'm not an expert on mental illness in any way it was just obvious that what you were hinting at was trauma caused by a horribly abusive mother leading to a fractured psyche in order to cope and protect herself. By the way clever idea to change the eye color in order to show which identify was in control.
