Oriel was born to Furia and Jag shortly after they moved to Summervale. They were both rather surprised to see when she was born that she was an Albino; Due to both of their rather dark fur colors. However as she got older they noticed that something was a bit off due to no matter how had Oriel tried she could not speak.
So her parents being as protective as they were, mostly her father, he taught her how to sign as well as teaching himself and his mate. Furia on the other hand started to teach Oriel how to write as soon as she could. So that way She would be able to communicate with other stardragons in the town.
Oriel learned very quickly to always keep a pad and pen with her at all times. Her life growing up was rather normal nothing out of the ordinary. She was picked on a bit in school but that was where she met her best friend and Future Mate River. Where the two became inseparable. Also due to the fact that Furia and River's mother were best friends helped.
As she got older she asked if she could work with her mother at the Obsidian Rose as a maid part time. Which was easy work. She also tends to help write out recipes for Thalia and Nyssa's bakery.
However while her relationship with River grew she found out with some rather "Close contact" she is able to project her thoughts into a person's mind. However this involves a rather intimate setting so only River has ever heard it. Which he described as to be rather soft and delicate
