The image of the Skeksi colored. It didn't turn out as great as I hoped, but oh well.

Beautiful job on the lighting, and I love your art so please don't take this as mean-spirited, but... The Gelfling's left hand looks like a flipper with no separation of the fingers, and her position and expression is more "Talk to the hand, bitch!" than fear or subjugation.
That said, the piece is a lot more about the Skeksis character, and every detail, pose and expression there is just stunning. Particularly the raised staff/clenched fist pairing, it's a very powerful pose that communicates so much emotion and is so illustrative.

I think with some more work it would be a really powerful image. Since you have such a strong light source, try adding in some reeaaally dark shadows. As it is, it looks rather flat and not quite finished.
When I first saw it, I thought the figures looked rather stiff, but... it's The Dark Crystal, it's Jim Henson creatures, so that's pretty damn appropriate.

That's very excellent work!!!
AND once more, my final theory is proven once again: "IT'S ALL ABOUT LIGHT AND SHADOW!" The proper use of light and shadow turns the artwork into LIFE! :)
Since I love "The Dark Crystal", I really like this interpretation of the Skeksi.
Only critique: The girl's body is quite out of proportion... her arms and legs look very mutilated... almost broken in many places. :( You could've used a human model for reference (even a male would do it... I mean, you can also pose yourself in a mirror or take photo shots). This way you can erase many mistakes in the first place. ;)
But the colouring is a master's work!!!!! Great!
Keep it up!
