Finally got done with this (I decided to do this in flats instead of full on shading and highlight because I spent way to much time on this). I also think shading would of made this drawing look worse. I told myself I was going to study but I had to finish this.
EDIT: would like to point out some things. I changed up the armor a bit from the last piece. I felt like making the armor similar to the rouge armors that are found in the game (that are jacket like). However, I still like the dragon armor that is given on the deluxe edition of dai. I also wanted to get the elven body proportions better on this pieces . This piece is really different form my last of Kaidan but I've been drawing this character like crazy since that last drawing I did. I love this character and I wanted to get him right- so yeah it took me a month but I'm so proud of this piece. Even though I did not get around to doing a full color job I still think it looks nice.
About Kaidan:
Kaiden is quiet and tends to keep to himself unless he decides that someone is genuine and ,as a result, would open up to them. At the beginning he was kind of shy towards of many of the inquisition's people but he was able to get close to all of his companions and advisors. He grew especially fond of Cassandra due to her determination and her ability to not put up with shit (so yes he admired her greatly).
I'm still working on a background of this character before he got involved with the inqusition but he does have a family. His family consists of 3 sisters where one is older than him and the two are younger. He often writes to his younger sister and sends her cool artifacts or books that he finds on his adventures. His sister also does the same. Both Kaidan and his sister love to read books for entrainment (really likes love stories, action, adventure, and some comedy) or books about their long lost dalish culture. Overall, Kaidan is a huge nerd but a freaking badass with a bow and is okay using blades- however, he can whip up an intense poison that he can cover the heads of the arrows (probably tried every recipe he found while reading some books).
I have a strong feeling I am going to be drawing his family... probs.
