Congrats to the people who got the spotlight, but I'm honestly a little disappointed in the lack of diversity of genre here. I mean, five of the six spots are electronic in one form or another and there was less electronica in the submissions than non-electronic. I'm not upset that mine wasn't picked because I'll straight up admit that the song is repetitive and not that great to listen to, I just submitted it because it's the only musical thing I've done in a while, but there was a lot more to choose from than just electronic in the submissions journal.

You prove a good point here. This was mainly due to the amount of electronic submissions I got in the submission journal. While I do love to add diversity in genre's, I also want to make sure I spotlight people that haven't been spotlighted as much as possible. Sometimes, this may mean that there is more of one genre than the other. I noticed this, though, while recording, which is why I started to look for pieces outside of the submission journal. It's not a bias thing, but more a "what I have available to me" kind of thing. I hope you can understand~ X3

What he's saying though is there was more non-electronica in the submission journal than electronica, which would mean that there would probably be less electronica in the spotlight as a result, if we were using just the submission journal to pool submissions from. Though I do see the point of spotlighting people who haven't already been spotlighted, I do also see what he's saying as well.

I will admit, I could have done a much better job with my selection on this episode and my selections, taking more advantage of selecting pieces outside of the submission journal and such and I do apologize for that. Though, with that being said, I would like to rebuttal with how well I have been doing keeping up the diversity in genres in every episode prior to this one. This was my first mistake like this, I am acknowledging it, and I will make sure it doesn't happen again~
