I usually try to avoid drawing political cartoons. (I know the staff at "FA" frowns on this sort of thing, too.) But in the wake of some of the recent tragedies in the news - mainly, the horrendous disaster at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida (in June, 2016), and a terrifying shoot-out at a peaceful demonstration in Dallas, Texas (in July, 2016) - the cartoon I just had to render is more topical than political...
I had my bobcat 'fursona' wear a T-shirt with a positive message from yet another tragedy from further back in this decade - namely, the Boston Marathon bombing (in April, 2013) - crossing out the city's name and replacing it with the names of each American city of the more recent tragedies (leaving room at the top of his garment for the next potential location)...
Think positive, everybody...
