You would think a staff merchant would have some sort of way to counteract magic, but this one clearly didn't.

Dangit, a part of me wants to say this is mean and bad adventurer taking advantage of the naive shop owner.
But, he just looks so cute as a mule that it's hard to resist the idea. Especially if he gets to go on an adventure with the guy and is well treated.
And who hasn't thought of doing something like this at least once. I mean we've all thought of robbing the merchants rather then paying for their goods, especially if the game lets you get away with it?
Even if we're too nice to think of doing that, how many haven't thought of using a spell like this on ourselves (with a way or reverse it of course, or not if one isn't thinking ahead ) or to let a friend do it with the promise they'll change us back (really, they will! Um, right?).

I like how u think lol. I really like the idea of a friend doing it to you and promising to change you back, only to realize they like you better as a pet. Or maybe they could mess up instead and accidentally cast it on themselves simultaneously, transforming both into animals without anyone to undo it.
