Why did the resident minotaur abandon everything and disappear? Thwarted in his business plans, perhaps. Hurt by callousness. But someone still cares, wondering where he is.

Honestly, I hate Theseus. He’s a liar, a cheat, and a scoundrel. He and that stupid Ariadne ruined my perfect life and what could have been a perfect relationship. Now I don’t know where Asterius went, while Theseus tells the world he slew the beast. Ariadne, stupid bitch that she is, backed him up in public. People in town think Theseus is so cool. Meanwhile, I’m stuck here, missing my beloved Asterius and wondering if he’ll ever come looking for me.
I need him.
I curse the day they came out of Labyrinth, winding up that bint's ball of dirty grey wool and laughing about it all. They mastered the maze through cheating. Cheating! I never once cheated, though it took me over a hundred tries to memorise its layout. I never once went in to the centre, where Asterius kept his books and music collection, clean underwear and the ribbons he wore at the end of his tail.
It would have ruined it.
They did. Right into his personal space. They stole some of his tapes and his favourite book. She scrawled nasty words on his bathroom mirror in lipstick and posted pictures on her page. He poured water down into the TV for 'fun'.
Some fun.
Asterius was so upset he upped and left, taking only his paintings, pet rock, lava lamps and his tiger t-shirts. They can have the rest, he cried as he left me helpless at the bus stop. They can tell everyone I'm dead. I'm moving to Alaska, where I might freeze my horns off but at least I know I won't be cheated! Or maybe the Gobi Desert.
I don't know.
He never told me where he ended up. I didn't get so much as a card or a call. He was so angry. Theseus, on the other hand, calls me every week to know if I want to go partying. He loves to tell his story to strangers even as the paint peels on the abandoned walls of Labyrinth and the city council mulls turning its plot into a multi-storey carpark.
At least he got dumped by Ariadne last summer, so it's not all bad.

Chika! <>-XD I love it! It takes a lot of talent to pack that much emotion and content into 365 words. Well done! I'm brand new to Fur Affinity and to the fandom, so I don't have any writen content yet, but I always strive to write rich plots in as little words as possible. Your writing style interests me and I look forward to reading more of your stories.
