stardustfur that is part of my Vulcan Automata series! And my first proper TF sequence.
The awkward conversion chair was precarious to lay down on. The alligator conversion tech tried to be reassuring but was very direct to keep things moving. “3, 2, 1.” the tech counted down and everything seized up as lightning ran down his spine and his brain was plunged into perma-frost.

I like it. Will need to dig a little further into the lore you have posted to get a clearer understanding. I think one of my favorite details you've presented is that if one works at a rather monotonous task, reassignment/re-specialization is effectively required to prevent potential mental harm/damage to the employee. It's those little things that make sense as flaws that add a more interesting depth to things, as opposed to the often common "everything just works out happily with nothing to be afraid of setting". While amusing, they're not as long term interesting,
Also, yeah, one quick missed letter can make the spell-check/auto-correct things you're trying to say something totally different. It happens to all of us.

Hours : Minutes : Seconds, It isn't fast, mostly because getting rid of and/or replacing their original physical mass takes time and they don't want to yoink out the recently cyberized brain and shove it in a standby body because THAT will completely disassociate someone not used to this stuff and probably stress them to the point of lasting damage.
There is a bunch of different types of RPing, I do not do most of them.
The most I do is tabletop RP where I have my character there within a framework, otherwise not much.
I dunno, I just don't do much free form RP because the few interactions I have had with it were poor even though I know people like doing it.

I hear you there. Tabletop RPGs, with their frameworks and rules, are a much different beast than total freeform. I'd say with freeform, you need to have the right people, perhaps most workably people you know reasonably well who know you about equally well. I think it can be very fun and rewarding, but can also go disastrously very easily.
