I decided to get back in touch with Lotta and commission portraits of the other wind spirits in Zephaera's family, which were completed in December 2008.

This is Southron, spirit of the south wind and the youngest of the Cardinal Winds. Of the four, he's probably both the most peaceful and the most trusting. He's also the most actively empathetic and kind. He does have the potential to be dangerous, but tends to lack the confidence to be really assertive on his own behalf. If the only neck on the line is his own, he'd much rather run or hide than force a confrontation. Like Zephaera, he's far more likely to fight if the threat is against something he cares about or considers to be under his protection.

Unlike some of his siblings, Southron takes a very active interest in the world, especially wilderness areas. Rather than having a secondary affinity for a given element, he has an affinity for life and fertility. Of the four, he's the only one capable of directly healing, and can communicate with plants and animals. Animal form: stag.
