Very clever.

I've heard similar pieces that actually loop back on themselves, so they sound like they are constantly accellerating. Is that what you were attempting here?

The piece almost does loop back on itself. The sequence of drums repeats itself.

To my ear, it doesn't really sound like it's speeding up that much, just that drum beats are shortening to 32nd and 64th notes (basically just drum smears). But, the main downbeats (cowbell or kick bass) only speed up slightly.

If the bass drum was much more rapid. The bass drum is usually keeps the regular beat per measure, while the other drums in the set can be syncopated off of it. If you listen to speedcore or other very fast punk styles, the bass drum is just going furiously.

wooah, cool :D It's like one beat speeds off into oblivion, and then another one starts and repeats the process... But it's not repetitive, it's a very organic process. Sounds great.
