HOW IS SPARKLE FORMED HOW DOG GET SPARKLY
Because people like to be on the defense:
THIS IS A PARODY. If you think I'm going after you personally then, a) NO, and b) uh, if this character looks like yours, well, uhhhh....:)
I have nothing against sparkledogs (look at the sparkleraccoons I've got).. However, there comes a point where aesthetics are thrown out the window in many cases, because the creator is focusing all their energy on trying to be "unique". Remember that uniqueness comes from a combination of personality (the big one), expressiveness, and design. :) Even if your character is drab and generic, if the likeability factor is up there as far as the other two categories, you'll still be unique. :) So don't sweat it, eh?

Lol awesome.
I hate sparkledogs with a firey passion. For me they're the absolute epitome of character design sin. And the thing is that it is a completely lazy attempt at being unique. Instead of spending time and effort into developing a character by going inside their head and evolving them, letting them reveal themselves to you over time, you just slap on a bunch of generic, colorful crap. In the end result, you really don't have anything unique, you have a character that looks like a rainbow had diarrhea all over them.
This is just my personal opinion though. I probably shouldn't have ranted all over your forum.
