One of the things I had to do before becoming a lab test subject was that they had me do a physical exam. I went to the gym every day, so I had a feeling that this would just be a run of the mill exam. I went into the lab and was greeted by a male leopard doctor, shaking my hand as I entered in. After a few general get to know you questions and some medical history, the doctor took my blood pressure and pulse, finding that they were very healthy numbers. I was feeling overly confident, but I was curious what the rest of the exam would entail.
Then, the doctor took me into the gym area as we headed towards the track. I was shocked that the lab had this much space devoted to working out, but they did do muscle growth serums, so, seeing all the weight machines wasn't as shocking as I assumed. The insane amount of weights on them, on the other hand, made me wonder how much muscle they wanted to put on people.
As we approached the track, I kept thinking in my head that this was just to see how fast I could run a lap, but then the doctor brought out a tray with an alcohol swab and a needle. I became suspicious that I had already jumped into the testing phase as he swabbed my arm and injected me with, what looked like, a red serum.
The doctor then told me to start jogging around the track as much as I could. I didn't understand why he would inject me with something and then tell me to run without telling me what it was about, but I assumed it was something to do with a boost of adrenaline or some kind of serum that they were testing and that I was already working. I started to jog along the track, noticing how it was a quarter mile track, measuring in my head from the track I run at my own gym everyday. I continued running past the doctor as he was taking notes, but didn't feel myself getting tired as I jogged. I started to count how many times I jogged past him as it was starting to become the twelfth time that I went around him, and yet, I still wasn't feeling any fatigue.
He then told me to stop, running quickly to get my blood pressure and pulse. I wasn't doing any heavy breathing, but was still sweating quite a bit like I normally do. I glanced at the pad to notice that the numbers were exactly the same as when i was resting. He smiled and said that I was ready for the next test.
