I'm getting started with creative writing and wanted to share this short story I'm working on at the moment. I would much appreciate all comments and criticism, especially if they allow me to improve on my style.

That said, just a little heads up: Despite the 'General' rating at the start, the material will get quite dark and maybe controversial towards the end (I will mark 'Mature' or 'Adult' starting with appropriate chapters). I am planning a happy ending. Any readers with aversion to grief and strong, adult themes best not get invested.

Can someone let me know about the standard practice - is is customary to select the overall maturity rating on all parts, or pick one that matches the specific part/chapter in question?
