the atmosphere on this! i can feel the heat its 80 degrees ion the shade. , hear the sounds of the city; arguing neighbors and music from down the block. , and smell the ocean somewhere. i think its some little resort town in Mexico. this is great and it tells a story.

I love the sunlight diffusing through just the ends of his hair and reaching the end of his muzzle. That little bit of detail really increases the believability for me.

What's so fantastic about the background and character is that this scene can be literally anywhere in the world. Johannesburg, Geneva, Caracas, Santa Monica, Osaka, Bangalore, Riyadh, or even Vladivostok! The way you composed various clothing and architectural elements, it's so brilliantly universal. A dash of humanity.

There is something about the way you control the detail that is astounding and it's a constant battle at not getting too caught up in details for me during painting. So beautifully... almost impressionistic.
