ahhh finally, do you remember this guy? he was an species concept I submitted a long ago: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16583885/ , and lately I've really wanted to work more on some of my species and well, some time ago I had an idea for these guys!

from now on they're strongly related to Dreamlings! how? you know that Dreamlings are the ones who fight nightmares right? I thought, well, but where these come from in first place? well, say hi to Noxtrays!

Background: Just like Dreamlings, Noxtrays are some kind of living plushies, but instead of fighting nightmares, they're the ones who create them...they're capable of break into others subconscious and so they're able to know which are your worst terrors and fears and use it to generate nightmares!

They're not inherently evil (well, not all of them), and as they feed on nightmares and fear this is what they have to do to survive

The way they're created is similar to Dreamlings' , "crafted" by another being (whose identity is unknown, but they're referred as "Astray"), then they're brought to life by the use of magic...there's a chance that a Dreamling and a Noxtray may become friends and help each other...if they're brought to the Artisan, they can be "deprogrammed" of the need of feed on nightmares and being taught to create dreams instead...unfortunately this can also be on the other way if a Dreamling is brought to Astray


Abilities: to create nightmares they rely on the use of illusions, through these they can make their host to visualize unpleasant visions based on their fears, they can also manipulate the perception of the host to make them feel vertigo, claustrophobia, cold, etc...additionaly they can shapeshift themselves in other creatures (real or imaginary)


The number of "tentacles" they have suggest their level of dangerousness:

> 2 tentacles = Low threat
> 4 tentacles = Medium threat
> 6 tentacles = High threat
