What amazes me is that you didn't strain your hand with this one. I mean the feathers here alone? It's like you were trying your absolute harder to draw each.. individual.. feather. I can respect that but.. that is.. AMAZING patience~! (I think I'd have started screaming somewhere in between. I really would have.)
I will say this though: I like how you drew the phoenix. .....Looks.. a bit like a canary though. Yet I still find that to be rather charming. (As a giant legendary bird of fire can be drawn as a canary. That's innovative.)
This and I don't see many birds being drawn. Call it.. different here.
I happen to like things I haven't seen in a while done differently.
And because of that.. I rather like this picture~ :)

I kindna did, but it's all the effort I like putting into. Yes but asianic phoenixs are known to be like a rooster and are smaller not bigger than the dragon.
But the asianic phoenix is biggest bird in the world if it were real that is, and considering it's big it's almost as big as a asianic dragon but if the tail doesn't count she/he be half the size of he/she. Usually in chinese weddings the phoenix is the female and and the dragon is male.
