Here's what I got so far. It's incomplete, pretty rough around the edges and a lot of things left unexplained, but it gives the basic gist of what the game is I suppose. It's pretty dang similar to Chaosium games in terms of mechanics honestly, if you've ever played those.
The setting itself is mostly a medieval-to-renaissance type fantasy. There was a single, all-powerful deity named Providence who watched over the world, but he disappeared over a century ago. His angels and minions have broken free of his servitude and all claim his throne for their own, sparking wars, natural disasters and other cataclysms. At the beginning of time, Providence defeated the primordial monsters that inhabited the world and imprisoned them, though without his presence they have begun to break free and threaten to devour all that is. The same is happening to the individuals he cast into hell, who now are breaking free as twisted demons, though from what they claim Providence may not have been the benevolent deity history claims him to be.
All in all, the worlds a pretty crappy place to be right now, though there's plenty of work for adventurers to go around.
