Harpia harpyja, the only member of the Genus Harpia. It's name references the harpies of ancient Greek mythology, which were said to have the body of an eagle and face of a human.
Inhabiting tropical lowland forests of South America, they prey upon tree-dwelling mammals, and is considered threatened by loggin throughout it's range.
