Something that was discovered not so long ago is the fact that they have an allergic reaction to oxygen , if they breath normal oxygen it messes up their stomaches and makes them build inmense ammounts of gas up to the point they blow up like ballons into spherical shapes, another thing to mention is that their gas is highly poisoneus and considered deadly in high ammount ammong most species.
While not painful in most cases being exposed to oxygen for a long period of time can cause them to release more gas than their bodies can handle if this happens they will expand and expand until they explode, something which Catrobis are very afraid of. The best way to help a blimped Catrobis is keeping them away from oxygen and squish them as much as possible until they get back to their normal size.
