Mollusites! (Closed Species)
They had to be redone, but they're back!
The cute and carnivorous Mollusite species is ready for its debut.
About the Species:
Mollusites are a mammalian, egg-laying species who are more parasite than anything else. Their bodies are more of a shell for the actual creature, the tail that protrudes, as if "bursting forth", from their backsides. They can either form their own bodies, or the transparent, jellylike eggs can be implanted in another creature, where the tail then grows out of the host animal.
Mollusite are instinctually drawn to magic, but have none of their own. They are predators who acquire magic from other beings, by way of consumption. This could be anything from making tea of dragon scales, to eating unicorn flesh or swallowing fairies whole. The more magic they consume, the larger the tails grow; thus, a young novice or a Mollusite who refuses to eat magic will have a very small tail, while an elder or one who consumes a lot will have a long, much heavier tail.
