ALRIGHT another biology thing up just a little more info about sogalun dragons and just a few comments down here in the description.
For the chameleon like color changing, just to clarify, it isn't something that can happen instantaneously, it take a sizeable amount of effort and
concentration to change the color a little bit at a time until you have the color you want. There's a big celebration once a wyrmlings fur and arms grow in and they usually spend the next week or two slowly adjusting their colors to the palette that they want. Of course after this they can do it when they want, but since it still takes the same amount of time and effort and once jobs and such start up they don't change colors as often.
For lifespan while after hitting 20 years they more or less stop changing or anything on the outside. After about 110 years they start to have various issues with internal organs aging. Usually though the longer they live the more authority and trust that is placed on them in their community. The oldest sogalun to ever live lived to 178 years. they live a lil while i guess hehe
For tails, one can imagine the tail of a sogalun dragon much like a third arm minus the fingers. a lot while use it to hold things while they're using their more dexterous hands or as an extra limb to lift really heavy things. while a sogalun can make their tail fall off it's almost always done as a last resort, as not having half of your tail does some crazy things to balance. takes a month to grow back.
And lastly necks, i should of mentioned that the skull is very sturdy too, but the neck in particular is very powerful, a sogalun can put out a LOT of force with it's neck, this is typically put into work when they fish without tools. I imagine it to look funny but they essentially catapult their head straight into the water over a fish and, if they grab it in their jaw, recoil back and fling the fish back onto land. it's also VERY hard to twist or bash the neck to actually injure it.
alright that's it for now!
Venny out
