A commission, this one for
who wanted something involving paws, obviously. In this case, it involves Pokemon go distracting the cotton candy colored Draco Fox, while his friend, a bunny named Kero
is around. Lots of stomps abound, and ending with a vorish scene. Still, he enjoyed it, and I hope others do as well.
The day was hot, muggy, and all together too warm of a summer day to enjoy outside without the energy of youth, something the youngest generation had lacked for some time. Not now, of course. In fact, some of their elders had discovered that spark of youth, and were going around with them. Everyone walking around had their phone out, their eyes locked to the screen as a dozen discordant versions of the same tune were being shrilled out by the devices.
“Pikachu!” shouted one young girl, a heron by the look of her. The wings on her back flared, her voice trilling up as she lifted herself from the ground, and with a quick spin in the air, she found the direction of her prey, and shot off. Below her, a dozen other youths were grabbed by their parents, some of them taking wing after her, while everyone else seemed to follow below, all of them keeping an eye on the sky.
Inside a home the crowd passed, a single figure watched from the window. This tiny form, of a size with a child, was quite a bit older than most of those passing by. At two feet tall, however, he didn’t risk the outside world for the moment. After all, his own hunt for the illusive pokemon was going well in his own home. Just today, his questing in the attic and the basement had garnered him a few rattatas who were in the top percentile of rattatas, and even a meowth.
“Oh, come on, I know I walked farther than that!” he cried out, staring into the depths of his phone. Within the image, an egg floated in a clear bottle container, the white and green shell spinning lazily about, the counter beneath refusing to move. For almost ten minutes now it had said he’d only walked 1.8 km, with 10 km total needed before the egg would hatch itself and reveal the glorious contents to the world.
The figure’s cry went unheard outside, as the crowd had already passed the home in which he dwelt by. Inside, however, one of the figure’s roommate’s jerked away from his afternoon nap, grumbling a little as he sat up. Around him, a home fit for a titan stood, his ears swiveling this way and that as he searched for the source of the noise that had awakened him, only for his eyes to fall upon something that was plummeting from the sky towards him.
“Hey!” shouted the tiny thing, leaping away as fast as his legs would carry him. Luckily, he was a bunny, his powerful legs bounding him far, while behind him, his yellow and black scarf unfurled like a flag. His hoodie and sweatpants were nearly weightless to him, and he dove out of the way, leaping from the couch cushion he’d been napping on, and landing with a flup in a thick forest of carpet strands.
Above him, standing high overhead, a large draco fox settled into the seat he’d been using, his blue and pink fur standing out like a sore thumb from the blue-green couch itself. The legs of the larger fur kicked around, as he swiped his finger across his phone, using an incense again as the one he’d had on before had worn off. Soon, more petals were spawning from his location, and another whoosh occurred.
“Hmm, a mon’s a mon,” he said to himself, as the draco fox made to catch the pidgey that had responded. Staring up at his host from the carpet, the bunny sighed in annoyance. The draco fox was distracted all the time now, that was useful for a micro like him, especially since the guy himself was so small anyway. Still, his distraction had nearly gotten him sat on for the fifth time that day, and it was growing annoying.
“Malyk!” he shouted out, trying to attract the big guy’s attention. The sound of his voice was completely ignored of course. After all, while the draco fox was only two feet tall himself, the bunny was barely the size of one of his toes. Grumbling at that, the bunny was just about ready to get some size to make his displeasure known when another shadow darkened his world, and he looked up to find Malyk’s pad coming down towards him.
“Wait!” he cried, but his voice was ignored again, as the pad smashed down into the carpet with a boom. Soft, warm foot met soft, plush carpet, and sealed the bunny between them, not crushing him, but just holding him between them, his arms pressed against the paw to try and push it off, but while it gave under his strength, he was nowhere near enough to move it as Malyk spun on that foot, looking for a ping, and finally getting it. A vulpix to the south.
“There,” he said, and lifted his paw finally. For a moment, the bunny, small as a bug, was stuck to the foot as it lifted, but the pad soon snapped back into shape, and the bunny found himself shoved off it, smashing him into the carpet again, as the draco fox walked off into the distance, the sound on his phone the theme for the game as he vanished around a corner.
“Dang it, you cotton candy head,” said the bunny as he recovered, breathing deeply of the air. Sadly, most of it was full of foot smell, as it seemed to have soaked into his clothing while being under Malyk, but still, it was better than nothing, and after a few deep gulps, he recovered enough to rise up again. Dusting himself off, the bunny was just about to decide to head back to his hole in the wall, when the floor shook.
“Oh bother,” he said, as the foot of the draco fox again filled his sky, and it slammed down on him. This time it drove him down into the carpet, the fibers wrapping around the lapine as he was pushed into them. Then it rose up just as quickly, Malyk hunting for an Eevee that had apparently just passed by. Sadly, just as he stepped away from the bunny, the thing ran off, making him groan in annoyance.
“Dang it, I only need one more candy to evolve my 600 CP one,” he complained, only to be counterpointed by his belly, which reminded him that his game was distracting him and it was almost lunch time. Patting at it, Malyk spun on his heel, and Kero on the floor cried out as for a third time, his sky was darkened by the draco fox’s paw. This time, however, he leapt forward, getting just out of the way as it hit the carpet.
“Hah!” he cried out, looking at the foot as it settled, feeling quite proud of himself for avoiding it. Of course, his grin was wiped from his face as the foot surged forward, the toes parting as it moved, and he ended up just between two of them, the fur around him cushioning him and holding him tightly. The motion of the next step sent the tiny rabbit’s stomach into his feet as it went up and forward, feeling like a rollar coaster, until it slammed down again, rattling his teeth with the impact.
Luckily for the bunny, the trip to the kitchen, even for a two foot tall draco fox in a home designed for a five foot tall person, was still short. So he only had to deal with a dozen steps, before he found himself released, falling not onto soft carpet, but instead onto hard linoleum. Slamming onto the cold, tiled floor, the rabbit gasped out and gulped down air, while looking up to find Malyk climbing onto the counter to make himself some lunch.
When he’d finally recovered from that ordeal, and feeling rather put out by the whole thing, Kero rose to his feet and puffed out his cheeks in annoyance. Staring upwards, and hearing the clink of silverware, and the whoosh of drawers and cabinets opening. Coiling himself down, the rabbit crouched, and then shot up, his small size allowing his legs to propel him upwards like a rocket, sailing into the sky, and over the head of the draco fox.
His intention had been to land on the counter in front of him, to get his attention, and then berate him for his obliviousness. Of course, this plan would have worked better if the draco fox hadn’t decided on something simple for lunch, and was currently holding a burger bun with some bologna in it in front of his face. Kero, unable to do anything but stare, landing on the brown bun with a flump sound, half his body tearing its way into the bread, while the rest remained outside.
Stuck, waist deep in a bun, the rabbit turned to find Malyk was not longer looking at his lunch. No, instead he had his eyes closed, his mouth wide open, and was moving his meal inside. That was a problem for Kero, who didn’t even have a moment to cry out as the warm, wet wind blew over him, and then he was shoved into the humid darkness of the draco fox’s mouth, the teeth slamming shut around him.
Luckily for him, before Malyk began to chew, his phone beeped at him, and looking down, he saw something amazing. A dragonite flying by. With a quick cry, his mouth stuffed full of food he’d forgotten about, the draco fox grabbed his phone and rushed towards the door. Inside his mouth, shaking and bouncing, but still stuck in the bun as it became mushy with spit, he bunny sighed, hoping he would be found before Malyk decided to swallow.
