I was working on my light and shadow skills, doing a few shading experiments and all of a sudden i recalled another character i played in a gurps campaign and he just took form on the canvas like he was always there just waiting to step out of the shadows...
Meet Nycteris... Nycteris Morte.
He was born to be a slayer of mortals, Risen from a mortal mother and an infernal creature from the abyss. His purpose, to avenge the extinction of his species. But he found the path of vengance was frought with uncertainty.
So many mortals did not even know his kind had existed, and others who did had already passed from the world. He found himself an avenger with no one to exact vengeance upon...
Now he searches for some reason, some purpose to his existence.... hero, villain or monster... How will he choose?

Heh, I love this guys cool shadowy wings that bleed out into long shadowy tendrils that can be anything from shadow to solid, and he can travel in shadows, flowing in and out of them like water...
