Since I'm still resigned to remote-connecting to my desktop computer via iPad, pending the arrival of my replacement monitor, I ended up spending the day messing about in 3DS Max and Poser again.

And this was the result. Cobalt's Ambassador Of Boink outfit, and a couple of props to go with it.

You can't read it from here, but that ID badge grants him diplomatic immunity.

But, don't worry about him doing anything too dangerous with that laser pistol. It's only set to stun. You can tell because it's glowing blue rather than red.

The pistol design is a sort of amalgamation of several varieties of Phaser (Including original series, Wrath of Khan, and Search For Spock), and the LAZER TAG starlite from the 80's.

Star background is a recolored hubble space telescope image, which according to the NASA website is in the public domain.

The final image was all done in-camera, with no post-render photoshop retouching or matting (apart from stamping the signature onto it) for reasons which I am not going into again.
