You've gotta appreciate a foreshadowed gut cleft! An above-cleft. The pre-cleft.
Love how you used this design as a way to explore this body idea. It's gorgeously depicted. For me, the roll on the top gut is like, the centerpiece. Even if you imagined it to always be there, it gives credence to the folding action of THE GUT HEFT.
Also, sorry if this is unwelcome, but I feel you'll appreciate the input: I confused the two leftmost tails for an awkwardly positioned arm for a stint. You might wanna dramatize lighting for characters that have extravagant designs but are close to monocolor, to clearly differentiate the body. It makes sense for the tails to share the lightest lights and darkest darks with the body in this lighting, but might not read as clearly.

Clefts are so good for bodies.
I'm so glad people can see the intentions of what I draw, that's exactly what I was going for!
To be honest, I've always had a problem with values, but thanks so much for pointing it out! I really gotta work on that. If you see anything else I could improve on with any of my drawings, do not hesitate to point them out!
