Okay, jokes aside, very good little tale. I bet this touches many, as the occasion of being abandoned in a dance isn't that rare, I think. Every person handles it in their own way, your character seems pretty devastated first, but after recovering a bit, starts writing. Very interesting, her approach is something I didn't expect.

Well, the writing bit, like I said, was ganked from  poetigress as well. It just so happened that her quote around her journal snagged alongside the image of a girl getting left behind on her date... so I ran with it.

This is what happens when logic breaks, right?

I really liked this story. Your character reminds me of myself now, always eager to hide in the corner with his notebook. I don't know about you, but I feel like I do some of my best writing there. Very well done.

I actually did that kind of thing... except I wasn't as proficient with a pen. Loneliness is not a feeling that expresses itself in the moment for me... and even afterwards, gives me trouble, so it's tricky. This was kind of an exception, actually.
