I was sitting in front of a computer in the lab at my school, waiting for a ride to take me home. After changing my IM status to indicate that I was BORED AND WANTED TO DO STUFF I went googling around about art careers and art hobbies. (I'm digging around a bit more; some of my classes are making me really hate things I thought I'd love to do for a career and had been working towards for a few years, you know?)
And article about movie making reminded me that images are for communicating.
I thought for a moment about that."Art is for communicating... Well yeah, I knew that, but I still want it to look good. That's why I draw instead of write stories... !? But don't I usually make more sense in my explanations than my images?"
I clicked through a few more articles on art. I kept getting things about how to stay inspired and creative, and how to get one's ideas across. An artist's intent VS reaction to the art.
I've been pretty quiet across most of my art accounts. I've been feeling like I'm just not improving like I'd like to be, and that I can't make my images look shiny and cute and smooth like I'd like it to be.
I've had plenty of ideas. Thousands of them. And I filter so many of them out saying to myself "Nah, I can't draw that right. Maybe if I do something instead. Or I could play the game; the game is fun..."
But I shouldn't let me desire to improve prevent me from sharing my ideas. If anything, I should use it as a reason to produce MORE so I get more practice.
Eventually, I got a call on my cellphone, turned off the monitor, and hopped in the car waiting outside for me. I doodled this on the way back, and forgot to ask to stop and get some food while I did.
Long story short: Remember your ideas, and share those you want to share. Don't let them die.

I find myself in a bit of a similar boat; I tend to have a lot of ideas that I want to eventually get down, but it just takes me foreeeever to get everything looking just right that I just never get around to everything.
I do tend to write down ideas and such, so I'll get around to them sooner or later, I just wish things came together a bit more naturally like they do for some of the more experienced artists out there. Ah well, I guess that's what practice is for. XD
As a side note, you've got a nice style; I wouldn't mind seeing more of it. I do hope you'll be uploading more in the future. :)
