I was wandering through the craft store a few days ago and saw the tanned paper sketchbooks I see colored pencil artists use so frequently .. so I wanted to give it a shot.

.. and I'm very pleased with the results. I'm never using white paper again for my colored pencil work.

I've been playing Pokemon Go a lot, so this was inspired by that. I always liked the idea of Dratini having more mythical, feather-like head fins. I haven't drawn anything since March, so was wanting to do something simple and easy that I could knock out real quick.

I also did something different and posted the camera-taken version versus the scanned one .. wanted to try the cool touch of including one of the traditional utensils to emphasize the fact that it's a traditional piece.
