Ultra of The Neonoir
At long last, here's a full 3D model of Ultra! Fully lit, rendered and a whole lot better in general than the old tasmanian devil, which makes me glad I waited to do this particular character until I was a bit more proficient.

Looks rad! It's neat how the silhouette of the R-5 breaks apart into polygons and becomes a little abstract at the tail end in the darkness—actually, all the dark bits are intriguing, like the shadowing on Ultra's figure. The little bits of a city well lived in are a nice touch too!
Very impressive, love the design of this character, and in 3D she reminds me of those early playstation one cell shaded polygonal models from a game; a popular platform shooter with 3D driving/racing elements between sections of investigation, combat, and puzzle solving platforming computer hacking awesome!

I just realized I really miss good platformers, which would explain my metroidvania fixation recently. Thanks for posting yet another inspirational work!

I know it's a 3D model, but it totally looks just like how you make your illustrations. This has a really badass effect. I also really admire that you uploaded a turnaround for people to play with, that's awesome. :D what program do you use to model? I only have hands on modeling experience with zbrush (and suffering in blender) , and until 4R7 it was characteristically awful at hard polygons like this.
Also, you handled your color really well, which is the fastest way to get me to like something. :>

I have been telling myself I need to learn it one of these days... xP I do use it for cycles rendering zbrush sculpts! I have a thing around here somewhere...here it is! https://static1.squarespace.com/sta.....g?format=1500w
My friend uses blender for animation and does pretty nice things in there.
