- May it be (Feat. Merina) -
My own rendition of the song I always used to have on repeat when it played during the end credits of the first LOTR film.
Many thanks AND kudos to
for singing a surprisingly tricky vocal part; well done to her!
This was performed as a solo on my Ustream show last week.
Thanks to everyone that takes a listen!

Hon, you've outdone yourself. You and Merina on this, it's overwhelmingly beautiful. Brought me to tears listening, even more than the original. Thank you, Fox, for sharing this with us all. If you have any other pieces, including covers, with your work and Merina singing, I look truly forward to hearing them.
With awe and love,

Wow, that's gorgeous, Fox! And yes,
Merinawish did an incredible job. Lord of the Rings is one of my absolute favorite movie trilogies. THANK YOU!

Hello ProudOne,
I think what you might wonder about is the basic backingtrack seeing as Fox does a lot more complicated stuff usually, and my not always perfect voice.
Perhaps you´re also used to the way M-One mixes my vocals, and here it's very different, as Fox did it.
Also you could think, because Enya has a crystal clear voice, that it's hard to meet up those standarts, and I absolutely agree with that.
But overall I'm pretty satisfied with what was done, and I hope to do more :)
As you can hear I'm not that good with taking long breaths and with the higher notes I kind of have difficulties, and it's very hard to record those in a decent way as well.
But thank you for the honest comment, and perhaps you'll like a next collaboration better.
It's been great working together with Fox so I hope to do more of that =)

First off, you have a great, astounding Voice. you just have to find songs which it works in better.
About the mixing, that might be true.
And enya's voice cannot be matched, that's true; it's what i meant with "There you touched something you'd probably should not have... "

Wow you both did a wonderful job on this! and
merinawish has such a wonderful voice! fits the song so well

Hello Mookie,
As you might know I'm very used to working together with M-One so this was very different for me.
I don't think I sang this perfectly, as I didn't, and I'm a picky person when it comes to that.
It's very hard for me to take long breaths and to do the higher notes, and to record that in a nice way is perhaps even harder.
For the next time I hope to do perhaps a lower song together with Fox, I think that would turn out better.
Thank you for the honest comment =)

This is quite a nice rendition. An interesting thing I noticed was the additional female vocals used in the refrain (in the Elvish language, I should add. XP). Overall, I like how it still gives this ethereal, "new age" feel like the original recording featuring Enya (even though this rendition sounded a bit reserved, IMO). Great teamwork on this, I should say.
As I listened to this, I could feel shivers running up and down my spine (in a good way, of course).
merinawish's voice is absolutely gorgeous btw. :3
Undoubtedly one of, if not the best cover you've ever done. Bravo <3

What an amazing voice you have. Very well sung. Fox, as always, very well arranged and put together, I love how you've mixed the vocals in. Very well done, the mix is pretty much perfect.
I can't fault this. Faved.
And a last note on the vocals... this could make me cry it's so beautifully sung.

Enya also has been trained and watched and fawned over for her voice because she is that good. I like people to explore what they can or cannot do in the realm of artistic and musical muse. I know of Fox Amoore's music when I stumbled into it, what is it now, two or three years now, maybe more? His music will always be a delight to hear. For Merinawish, I have never heard her sing but I think she sung this song wonderfully. I agree it was a bit reserved but as playing an instrument that requires a lot of breathe control, sometimes it is hard to get that decent breathe in to sing it properly.
Great job for the both of you. Continue to explore you muse and you'll be better for it. :D

First and foremost, from a fellow trained vocalist, to
merinawish I send an astounding BRAVO! Brought tears to my eyes. I would love to see you tackle more Enya in the future, you seem to have the depth for it. And that's..... really saying something.
And to
foramoore I can do nothing but bow politely. Your cover was beautiful. I would love to see you do a rendition of "Edge of Night". (All Shall Fade). Youhave superb talent. I sincerely wish I could have caught the Ustream. Blessings to you both, and thank you for posting this.

And to

Fox, I do hope you pass this along to Merina as well.
Stunning work... both of you. Truely marvelous. Some may have gotten the idea that this was meant to replace Enya's version. As noted, nothing can and probably ever will. What the two of you have done here is a wonderful tribute to a spectacular film and to a spectacular voice.
Merina, I loved the addition "depth" of the sound of your voice. It is a wonderful pairing of a great vocalist with a great musician. I am a sucker for well placed reverb, echo and delay. Music played in a great hall sounds like nothing else... BRAVO to you both! }:=)

Foxamoore.. The beauty of this piece is awe-inspiring. The vocals are absolutely gorgeous, and in soft growing crescendos they bring the tranquility of the work rolling onwards.
You truly managed to create a melody that inspires peace and comfort.
It is a pleasure to have the chance to listen to work like this.

I have to say I've read a lot of comments about how crystal clear Enya's voice is and I agree but I think the more mellow, soft tones
uses better compliment the message that is trying to be portrayed here. Comparing the two versions yes Enya's is more clear and more "professional" in that it was originally her song, but I think that the meaning she was trying to get across, which has always been that of peace, hope, happiness and serenity in my opinion was better captured by the softer edge. On top of that it was a theme song specifically for the Lord of the Rings movie, and the softer tones sound more elven than the crystal clear version. At least in my experience with Elves and whatnot the sharper sound to music was always attributed to other races, with the Elven music being ethereal, light, and flowing. Especially for this type of Elf. I can see Arwen more at home with a harp than a pipe, but keep in mind this is just one musician's opinion.

Thank you muchly :D Glad you liked my voice

Very nice I really like this one. When I was about 6 years old, my mother read out The Lord Of The Rings to my sister and me. We didn't bother with children books, instead we went straight on to adult literature. The Lord Of The Rings influenced me a lot, it stayed my favourite book until I was grown up. When the movies were released, it was a bit as if a childhood dream was coming true, like something happened that I was waiting for since I was a kid. Later on I discovered that J.R.R. Tolkien was one of my godfather's best friends and I'm still sorry that I never had the chance to learn about him, because my godfather died last year.
Thank you so much ;D That's the best compliment ever.
I'm sorry I didn't check your comment sooner, I don't go here that often anymore.

All I can say to the both of you especially MerinaWish is:
Wow!
When Enya sings it her voice makes you drift away into the world the song is about.
MerinaWish did a very rare thing and that is she made me drift away into the world the song is about.
I'm completely blown away by how beautiful a singing voice MerinaWish has.
Faved!
