YCH for
magarnan
woooo, that was challenginng. I think I won't draw cities for a while but, damn, designening and rendering those hybrid amor/carnival outfits was so funny.
So this art was to introduce my sona, Scarlett, to the community, and I am really happy about her first pic (and this assassin role she's playing ;P). Really.
God, I'm so tired, I think I accidentally put a spark of my life in it XD
I will complete the scene with a copy-past from Mag's submission, for those of you who like extra contents.

Scarveline and Magximus, the saviors of Venice, have begun to enact their plan to overthrow the evil tyrant who rules the land with an iron fist.
Unbeknownst to our heroes, the evil tyrant has discovered their plan, has a laid a trap to lay our heroes low!
Without warning, the joyous revels of the festive crowds are drowned out by the alarm bells resounding throughout the city. An angry hiss whizzed by Mag's ear as the first of arrow from the tyrant's minion sliced through the air. The angry whistle of lethal bodkins continued to fill the air as the minions of the tyrant began to emerge from the canals, with the hope of overtaking the heroes whom been destined to save Venice from the tyrant's grasp, only to be cut down with a flick of Scarveline's wrists.
Though surprised, the heroes knew they were not finished, for if they could make it beyond the courtyard, throngs of allies awaited to help them take back the city and return it to it's rightful owners, the people of Venice...

I'll say it once more, though with slightly different words, that it is a masterfully done piece and I think you've outdone yourself once more!
Though that Mag guy though, don't know about him, seems like a bit of a hack XP
(Though thank you for adding that actually, it always is nice to think that I've contributed in some way to any kind of art I've enjoyed ^.^ )
V/R,
Mag.

For some reason, I'm really fond of the design of that rat character. x) Maybe it's just me being a sucker for the hopelessly-doomed villains. Is he jumping out of or falling into the river there? His pants have a wet-look shine, but the rip in his shirt makes me think he already met the business end of those claws. xP
Very impressive work on the clothing in general; the way Scarveline's dress flows, the way the rat's clothing twists, the folds in Mag's shirt. It's a lot of subtle detail that really adds to the sense of action in the scene!
Also, I admit this is just personal preference, but thank you for including some element of story with your piece. Not that it's the responsibility of artists to explain their art, but a little perspective really adds to the work as a whole (imho). It's a shame when otherwise captivating pieces come off as just a random, meaningless stillframe because the artist didn't care to provide context. Kudos!

Well, he's a "minion", a mercenary hired for the ambush xD and Well yes Scarlet just stroke him and threw him into the canal, like she did with many others willing to marry her ahahahah. Anyway, pants are wet because he just attacked from the canal
Oh my illustrations nearly always have a story, or I cannot put details in it. If it's not written it's because I'm not allowed to share it yet or i didn't have time to write it down xD
But yeah I agree, meaningless frames are not that talkative
