Sometimes even creators who make designs themselves feel attached to another persons creation.
Different people have different ideas and concepts. Also, sometimes people feel they can't be as creative and want to support an artist whose selling a piece.
Another little tidbit if people have the money to spend on a design then why not buy one? What people spend money on is their own personal business, just saying. :D
