I saw this thing going around where furs compared their fursonas to their corresponding real animals. I thought that was a cool idea so I jumped on board and posted some comparisons on Twitter. Tonight I felt like expanding on it, so I hastily threw this together in MSPaint. You may now bask in its glorious high quality.

On the top is my main fursona, Luke, who is a hybrid of a dragon and a lion. I think it's fairly obvious which parts of his body were inspired by which animal.

On the bottom left is Malachite, my brown wolf whose markings were inspired by the malachite butterfly.

On the bottom right is my adopted character Mistletoe, a hybrid of a dragon and a mistletoebird, a songbird native to Australia. The green on his chest was a deliberate color change decision made by me, since as you can clearly see the real bird has a red chest.

It should go without saying, but just in case, the comparison photographs of animals and the dragon drawing in the very top left are not by me, they are images that I found on Google Image Search. The art of Luke is by  frindle, the art of Mistletoe is by  bombed, and the line art of Malachite is by  kiwi and was colored by me.
