Great perspective with the building, very eye-catching. Just shame about people in background as they draw your eyes to them as the 'odd ones out'. Cool photo! Would be epic to stop down to a slower aperture, get more of the building in focus, and have your subjects looking outward of the building behind them.
Some cameras can prove tougher than others for fast paced work. With my D700, I'll walk into a room and immediately adjust ISO up by three stops; even if I'm not even contemplating a shot.
Also will add that there's nothing wrong in using automatic settings, just make sure you're shooting raw so you have the additional latitude for whatever stupid metering your camera may think up!
