I cannot begin to express to you guys how much my country needed this.
My people had been needing something to give us strength again, to return hope to us, to bring smiles back onto our faces.
We needed this. So very badly.
Its not about the sport, its about the happiness it brought us.
I am so proud of our team and so happy to see the smiles all around.

damn it I'm so socially retarded..
I have really shy roots, and the words I was raised living with that were embarassing to me still are. Telling someone I love you in portuguese just doesnt sound right to me, I cant say it >:I
Also its quite easy for me to start learning languages and mimicking accents :b

Oh,, I get you hun! Saying ' I love you' in Portuguese also seems weird to me!
And yessss, mimicking accents is fun! Since we don't really have one! Although apparently I kinda do, I Skype often with English friends and they always comment on how 'cute' my accent is. Didn't even know I had one!

I absolutely love the clash between that sort of blue and dark
blue insides and sensitive spots ftw!

Oh yeah, in our language we have far less predominantly open or closed sounds so we can easily adapt to speaking anything. That in my point of view, but somehow I can identify the stiff way so many of our brethren speak :b
