My mother's boyfriend (Daniel)'s birthday was on February 14th. My mom comes to me and asks if I can draw a picture of Spongebob DJing (because Daniel was a DJ in his youth and his son loves Spongebob) to put on his cake and I says yes, because I like Daniel and I had no money to actually buy him anything so it was going to be my contribution (even if I was, and still am, creatively blocked right now and CAN'T DRAW D: and I don't really care for Spongebob that much...). Sos I draw it and get into an argument with my mother and then the printer trying to get it to print completely on the sheet of paper.
Day before his birthday my mother was preparing to take the picture to the bakery to get it on a cake and she was trying to think of something spiffy to write on it. I say "How about a quote from Fight Club?" since that's his favorite movie and we all laugh because of how inappropriate all the possible quotes would be. I think for a moment and say "Well 'Slide.' is appropriate." my mom replies that it doesn't really go with a picture so I say "Too bad you didn't get a picture of the penguin, then :D" and then she thinks and decides to do that and I'm like "Wait, what?"

And that, friends, is the story of how I drew Spongebob for next to no reason (and it was my damn fault, too!)
