Last week, I finally did something I'd meant to do for the longest time: I bought my very first state-of-the-art tablet (so I can check out stuff on the Internet wherever I go, and wherever the wi-fi is free)! I also have a new account with Google - so I'll have access to their search engine, an app store, and even an inbox with G-mail.
And, since said tablet also features a digital camera, I'd decided to try it out - only to learn that said camera is basically used for 'selfies'. (In other words, I can't turn it around and aim at other subjects, and snap a lined-up picture I have no view-finder for.) With the help of my good friend Mr. Cedeno, he taught me how to take 'my first selfie'. (62 years old, and I'm still using a Kindergarten term, of sorts!)
Hopefully, my photography will improve (and I wish I could say the same for my face), and I hope to present future 'photo-ops' of me with friends, relatives, celebrities, 'furry folks' and others.
FOOTNOTE: Since this 'selfie' was taken, the tablet I'd used suffered a broken screen two weeks later (which was no fault of mine). Not only was I unable to get my money back from Walmart (where I'd bought it), nor get it replaced, there wasn't a single repair shop in all of south Florida that would fix it. So, I was out over sixty bucks, and I wouldn't get another tablet for several months (and the next one I did get - a Kindle - had absolutely NO digital camera feature whatsoever)... Why me?!

My face would've been more interesting, had I had the benign lump on the left side of my head been removed many months sooner (so that the 'nervous system' on the left side of my face wouldn't be affected). As of now, I cannot completely close my left eyelid, and the left side of my mouth cannot turn upward (with the right side) to form a smile. Even my eyes can't seem to align properly. Hopefully, future pix of yours truly won't be as shocking!
