You, who played The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion just like me, have you ever seen M'aiq the liar? This strange Khajiit who is found in every Elders Scrolls game and who can be seen in various places. When you talk to him, he says something thats seems to make no sense before running away. Have you ever wondered where he was coming from? In fact, it is a very sad story...
There once was a young geek, a big fan of The Elder Scrolls from the very beginning, who preferred the universe of the games rather than the reality. One day, he decided to take the plunge. He used an ancient pagan ritual in order to get into his favourite fictional world. But magic is unpredictable, and the ritual didn't have the desired effect. The young man was sent into the world of Tamriel indeed, and even begin to turn into a khajiit, his favourite species in the game. But a part of him remained in the real world. Being stuck between two worlds made him lose his mind, and turned him into something more than a simple inhabitant of Tamriel. He became M'aiq, aka "M'aiq the liar", a mysterious khajiit, immortal and omnipotent, traveling around the world to share his knowledge. What he says seems to be illogical and crazy, but makes quite a lot of sense for all those who know that Oblivion is just a game...
"Beeeeeeeeeeh... I feel odd..."
"I am not transforming."
"Why the hell am I saying that? I... I..."
"I... I... M'aiq would like to travel. He already made five trips. And another one, but there were too many people, it was a mess..."
"M'aiq has seen a dragon flying backwards, but it lasted only for a very brief time."
"Once, M'aiq has seen a man inside of a cell. He spent half an hour standing here without saying a word, changing his species, gender and face. That was weird!"
