Shiv is one of the original sixty mutants trapped on eden for a thousand years, numbered at 54. She has a light arabic accent, suggesting she was born somewhere in the middle east, along with her preference of traditional blades made from dasmascus steel. She is far from the meek arabic women we would know. Her fighting skills and agile, stealth like nature suggest that she may have been a high ranking assassin from the extinct Red Templars, a reformed faction of the radical Sunni Islamic sect, the Taliban.

As the mutant specialist, she's proven quite useful to the team. Shiv's power is a mitochondric self defense where it is protected from foreign, electrical impulses and foreign chemical imbalances affecting the brain directly. Layman's terms, she's immune to powers such as telepathy, illusions, mind control, mind trapping, etc. Also, she excels at fighting with dual short swords, being ambidextrous.

Not one of much words, Shiv gets along decently with Mokvar and the others, earning distrust from Mokvar, acceptance from Shelzan, and apathy from Sel. (more to be added)
