So I was watching Team four star playing a nuzlocke of pokemon soul silver. as their sequel to finishing their nuzlocke of leaf green. And they were illfated to starting with chikorita as the grass typing and defensive focus of chikorita makes it difficult as a starter, and the first two gyms as flying and bug. both being strong against chikorita. just as they had started with Charmander as their starter in leaf green.

So after finding the horrific sprite art of chikorita following behind them, they decided to name this adorable blob of love, Mr. Stake.
