i guess while i'm here...it's also nice to ask permission when you feel the need to make something so closely inspired by someone else! not everyone is okay with such close copies like this. it's a very cute concept but not entirely your own so let's be polite to other artists and seek approval first, yeah?
i...i really don't know how you expect me to believe that hahaha, it's exactly the same as this reference by @neonslushie, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20123614/ build a bear doesn't do anything like what Nico has done here.
the design itself, the sleepy eyes, the stars in the paw pads, the direct copying of 'really moves!', the starry patterned background, the logo in the corner, i could go on, this whole toy-product-packaging is something that hasn't been seen before Nico did their thing, and now you're doing their thing too without any prior permission or credit after the fact, and that's really disrespectful and hurtful to them.
it's good to be polite and respectful to the inspirations in your art, your fellow artists deserve that, i think :)

This is from build a bear.
Those the reason for the stars, not Nico.
I've actually never seen this image before until now, tho i have seen Nico's in art around on Twitter. He was not my inspiration.
My "toy packaging" while CLOSE isn't the same. I also changed my layout- https://twitter.com/Jinx_In_Boots/s.....35292994990080
To be easier to look at.
So i guess I will apologize for the layout, tho theres several differences.

sorry friend, but i am really not buying that you've never seen this image before, they are almost identical in layout, coincidences like this just don't happen in such a small niche part of this fandom. that you're inspired by nico isn't the problem! people get inspired by stuff all the time, our fandom would be really boring if no one ever experimented with each other's ideas, that's how art works!
it's that there's no credit, no admittance when confronted, no respect to the original artist, that's really not fair. it looks like you work really hard on your art and you have a lot of cool ideas, so i hope you can understand how it'd feel to be copied and not credited, right?

I own the Build-A-Bear this was referenced from and I call bullshit that you're claiming Jinx stole the concept, unless you're willing to say that NeonSlushie stole the concept for stuffed animals with patterned fabric in their ears and on their paws. Oh wait, you wouldn't, because that is a real thing that many stuffed animals have. For example:

2. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.co.....e61dab3561.jpg
3.http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QRZ3nwJjT.....0/DSC_0112.JPG
Plus, NeonSlushie got those concepts of "really moves" from the packaging of real toys (for example, I did a crappy Google search for about two seconds and found this: https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/1e.....7557a4257.jpeg )
And their layout for references is extremely basic and unoriginal to them (and layouts of references don't belong to anyone), and even I do similar layouts.
NeonSlushie does not own the concept of plush characters. They based their designs off characteristics of real products, and you cannot fairly say that Jinx saw their art and stole the concept. That's like saying WhiteFalcon owns the rights to inflatable characters, when they're based off real products.
How about this plushie from a year ago ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15710912/ )? Did they copy NeonSlushie too with the patterned fabric?
How about this plushie reference from three years ago ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9502855/ )? Did they copy NeonSlushie too with the "Really poseable" or heart tag? No, because Plushie Nico was first designed six months ago (their original ref is here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18887562/ )? There are COUNTLESS examples of designs similar to Nico's that were created and posted long before they were ever designed.
It's extremely rude and insulting of you to accuse an artist of theft when they even said that they've never seen NeonSlushie's plushie references before. You definitely owe them an apology and need to think before you blindly defend artists you like.

+1
> Person asks for inspiration
> Person gets a SOLID reference for this character that is SIMILAR
>Person STILL doesn't accept that as an answer and swears up and down the concept is stolen even when provided with evidence. Why not go yell at that build a bear! It's so similar too!
> Artist unintentionally mimic PACKAGING (which NS already said they attempted to mimic so it'd make sense someone else would eventually have the same ass idea)
>Person still wants to claim "you absolutely saw it" despite this containing elements of two REAL LIFE things that didn't really require anyone to even look NS's way.
I'm sorry it's not similar or "unique" enough for me to scream theft.
I REALLY REALLY REALLY would LOVE IT SO HARD if when this kind of shit happens the ACTUAL ARTIST IN QUESTION would be the one here defending it and getting upset and not the peanut gallery. Link NS and let them deal. It just seems really really shitty to bring drama on behalf of someone else.

First, You should ASK me what inspired these rather than accuse me.
You don't know where I got my idea from. And I as I said before, it was Inspired by the Werewolf Plush from Build-a-bear. As I own one and i like the idea.
Second.
Who would I be asking permission from? Who have I so closely ripped off? Cause I've seen SO many plush adopts that I guess I should credit everyone.

So much love for this adopt!
Congrats to whoever bought this lovely guy
Sucks to see so much drama coming from this though, I literally had a wolf plush similar to this when I was younger. Had stars on it's paws and in it's ears with a grumpy looking expression. There's likely many plushies like this.
It's a lovely design and looks nothing like the other design linked apart from a few similarity's such as the stars.
Hope you're alright Jinxis!
