Young Nyala we named Jeffery that decided he'd try to challenge me so he'd look cool in front of his herd. He fluffed up and stalked towards me like he was about to do their weird lateral presentation (they see who can walk the slowest, whoever wins obviously has better fine motor control and therefore is a better Nyala)
But the fact I just kept sitting on my ass taking photos of him seemed to deter him and he made it look like he was heading around the building the entire time instead.
I quite like the male Nyala, they're very pretty. They were extremely used to people, would walk through the camp to drink at the pool, you could pass within a meter of them and they'd only twitch and maybe fast walk away.
