Robot Wars returns on BBC2 tonight after 12 years off screen. Can't wait! And so to get into the spirit of things here are the Transmission cast with their own combat robot Negotiator, 'Raging Robots' champion of 2016! It's weapon is a hydraulic pincer mounted to a lifting jack that can also act as a flipper. It's quite similar in appearance to the real life Battlebots competitor Overhaul.
Their roles in the team are as follows;
Russel - Captain, Mechanic
Linda - Electrician, Weapons
Jason - Driver
Reggie - Moral Support

Oh COOL! I used to hang out with a group who built battling robots with a couple fellows who also drew "Furry" art in the late 1990s. Of course most these robots were nothing more than big, radio controlled props, but there were a few which were powered by lawn mower motors, and a few also malfunctioned and threw their circular saw blades which got imbedded in the walls of the Plexiglass enclosure. Still, it was a fun time in the early days of the "Sport" when Science and Technology was playing around with the concept. I personally liked the "Flipper" wedges.
KeenyFox this picture, and quite possibly a few other like pictures, fit my poem.

A few notes that warrant being made:
1, I am fully aware of what male otters are called. It just wouldn't have worked out as good.
2, Yep, I know that none of your characters pictured are otters.
3, ( Yea, last one) The overall feeling and tone to the poem is inspired by the Redwall series of books and maybe a swimming pool.
