Got this retrobit console a year or two ago while at anthrocon. Unfortunatly this console at the time was unavaliable in the UK, was only supplied with a US 120V power supply (so no go on 240V!) and also had the power supply configured as centre pin negative (and just about *any* device you see these days will be 'the other way round' - !).
Still it is almost sorted now - the tiny circuit board next to the black mouse is a small "booster" (or step-up converter) device and can be adjusted for a range of 6-28V at roughly 1A max. The games console gets nowhere near needing 1A and I have mine adjusted for 6V. And better still the input to the "booster" device can be directly powered from USB (5V) - so I now have a USB powered games console - !
