very well done. Check out our promo for his album here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20654431/

On a side note. sorry for changing the name back to the "Furry Musicians Spotlight" and then back again to
the "Eluticast." The reason I changed it back was because I wanted to seem lees full of myself
as to using my own name in a thing I do can have people view me in such a way, but then I
had people asking me why I changed it away from "Eluticast", so I decided to changed it back :0
boom fwap bleep boop hope you enjoy this weeks podcast \o/

Thanks for the mention, glad you liked it! I'm hoping to have a new album out around March or so, and Little Big Cat will feature on it.
I forgot to mention that there's a hastily assembled video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CgijWseK6g - mostly boring studio stuff.
Annoyingly the level meter on the mastering deck was out of frame and I didn't have time to re-shoot. (...and as of this writing, Flaviu the lynx is still roaming the moors.)

Yes, but most of the videos end up being of the gear rather than the song, it's a bit samey... And the one time I did a video with artwork from the story it was about, it got panned. So...
To answer your question, yes. The technique I use these days is to sequence the song on computer first, then lay the tracks down onto the 2" machine, e.g. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u.....cat_tracks.jpg
The 24th track has a timecode which is used to control the computer, so the tracks from the sequencer will automatically line up correctly for each overdub.
For the bass and vocals, I use the smaller 1/2" machine since it has an automatic punch-in system (and wear and tear on the TASCAM is cheaper than the Otari). This time I'll lay down a guide track, usually with the sequencer's click track enabled and pushed to the front of the mix. I'll lay down the vocals first usually, and then the bass. Once I'm happy with it, I then copy the bass and vocals onto the 2" machine for the final mixdown. I have a synchronizer to keep the two machines locked together for the copy. For the mixdown I will do this in the traditional way, hands-on-faders while recording the mixing desk output to the 1/4" Studer machine. If I'm mixing the album proper I might do multiple takes and physically edit the mixes together which I did a fair bit on my "Evil songs for Evil People" album, but for a demo I'll usually just get the best mix I can at the time and call it a day.
It would of course be easier to do everything in the computer, but also less interesting...

Oh, by the way! I forgot to mention... In the future, try to remember that my name is pronounced "Bau - marr - ius", not "Bau - mare - ius." It's easy to say the second one because you see "marius" at the end, but the name originates from the name "Baumar" - not Marius xD
So think of how the Romans had all those names ending in "-ius," and consider my name in a similar way :P

Wowza, that happened. Thanks a lot for the spotlight, I really appreciate it! For the record, my name is pronounced "DAH-let FORZ" (I guess); it kind of started as a parody of "Delta Force" or something. Also, the name of the song was "Can You Hear Me Now"; Lime Flavored Optimo is just the name I publish my music under. I wondered if I should've typed that differently when I first submitted it, to avoid confusion...
In any case, just the mere fact that I got some recognition is super kewl. Thanks again, it was a really nice surprise ^_^
