Artherion is the toughest boss in the game, doesn't matter what size is in your raid party or how high you have your DPS, he just keeps growing and getting bigger and tougher.

see if i were a raid boss id have those growth crystals be a decoy. where when they break them they actually release all the energy they absorbed from being attacked to make me even bigger

What if we reverse the ray of the growth crystal into a shrink ray ^^

OR just cast "Reverse" on him, Which is a status effect that reverses all buffs and defuffs. Turning it into a fight with Micro Dragon that keeps getting smaller ^-^
