I think I was in the 3rd grade when I got my first glasses. I love the little paw print in the showcase and the reflection on the back of the mirror of the worker. The expression is great of the little one. Your art has such great detail, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talent with us. *hugs* SB.
I remember young myself picking up my first glasses... I had a bad eye infection and putting the glasses on hurted like hell and there was kinda teardrops-waterfall because of that. I don't know why. Looking trough the glasses hurted. I had to wait few days until my eyes were ok, before I was able to start using my glasses :D
My mom worked for an optometrist back when I was a tyke, so I went there a lot. Can't really remember my first time, but I do remember why. Football game, I tried looking at the scoreboard but the sun was in my eyes, so I asked my mom what it was. She immediately said I needed glasses. Still don't get the logic, but oh well.
Not the visit to the optician, but the first time I saw through my glasses when I got them. It was snowing out as we rode in the car, and I could see every snowflake clearly. It was amazing! I hated wearing them, of course, but I couldn't deny what they did for my vision.
yep, feeling of nostalgia.
Alas, I didn't excitedly see clearly right away.
I was confused, I thought my vision was fine. The perscription was so heavy and my problem so specific, everything distorted up and down like a funhouse mirror for 3 days. Took a while to sink in I had better vision with the glasses than without.
